LaCresha's Lens Focuses On...page 149...The Moon

When I have the opportunity and the moon is just right, I grab my tripod and camera and head out the door.  I love the night sky, filled with stars and wonder.  Evenings are usually more calm and peaceful and any given excuse to be outside to take it in is a good excuse for me.
Growing up in Wisconsin it was not uncommon for my Mom to come into the house and tell me to put on a layer of clothes and go watch the northern lights.  I would be out there for hours and I never wanted to go inside, but cold or sleepiness would be setting in and off I would go.  I love the night sky and miss being able to see the milky way from the drive way of my parents farm.  I crave to see the northern lights again and again and again.  It is beautiful to me to see a full moon light up a field, a road, river or lake.  It allows you to see into the depths of darkness which most nights offer.  It is peaceful, it is beautiful, relaxing and allows you to free your mind of the daily hustle and bustle.
