I am incredibly blessed - I have friends. Beyond the blessing of friends, I am incredibly grateful to be blessed with good, honest, kind, caring, FUN friends!
With the joy of Facebook and text messaging my dear friend Miss Ernie contacted me. She wanted to go out tonight. Considering, tomorrow I have a 9 am PR meeting and a 10:30 appointment to be picked up to assist a photographer...going out was not in the plans.
Yet, sometimes we have to live the life we are given and not just sit at home online talking about the life we wish to live. So, knowing I would be tired tomorrow I eagerly said "YES! Come pick me up!"
It ended up being a great decision. I was able to attend a going away party for a photographer who is embarking on an endeavor which is taking him to LA. I was also able to reconnect with some models and fellow photographers. This lead me to meeting Nina Covington, a woman I had heard about for years, but never met. She is beautiful, sweet and feisty - and a ton of fun! We clicked right away and our calm night out turned into a fun evening of banter.
While Nina was making a comment about working a pole, due to a weight bearing pole was near where we were sitting, she ended turning and walking right into it. We made friendly fun of a woman who had more variety of colors in her tights, skirt and top than what should ever be permissible. Nina covered it by saying, "it is fashion, just take it in" as we laughed at the very unique look of this womans colorful skirt. It was more than just a colorful skit, the colorful pattern was cats. Odd.
Then we pulled out the cell phones and began to take photos. This naturally lead us to the photo booth. Immediately in the photo booth Nina bumped the background, in which a large piece fell off. This lead to using the piece as a prop in our photos. One photo after another we continued to have amazing fun in this high class photo booth, which only lead to us wanting to see the photos over and over again until we got kicked out.
Once we were done, Ernie and I headed over to another bar for a drink and fun. While parking she had the most difficult time trying to parallel park than anyone should with no cars around her. While I laughed hysterically she continued to playfully tell me to "shut up!" After her two drinks and my delicious Leines Vanilla Porter, we headed out. While driving out of East Nashville she made a comment about the "five points' in which five streets come together. I begin to laugh, because less than 2 weeks ago we had the same exact conversation.
It is nice to be able to break free and go have fun with friends. It feels good after dealing with lifes hardships and struggles to laugh so hard you hurt. What a blessing to have someone enjoy your company so much they think of you when they want to go out. While out you meet new people who only expand your great group of wonderful blessing of friendship.
